Dear friends,
Over 17 years ago, we launched a project to provide free dental services to those in need.

Over 17 years ago, we launched a project to provide free dental services to those in need.

After opening centers in BET SHEMESH, ELAD, KIRYAT SEFER and SDEROT, we have just finalized the establishment of a new dental center in NETANYA.

Dental care in Israel is not covered by a healthcare fund (Kupat Holim).

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the many practitioners who work at our centers, this much-needed initiative provides relief and, above all, restores a sense of dignity to hundreds of people.

Your invaluable support will enable us to continue and develop this project in our beloved land of ISRAEL.

Founder,

Chimone BENMOSHE/ Bernard BENMOUSSA

Medical Director of Dental Clinics

Shmuel Katz, DDS

Dr. Shmuel Katz is a New York-trained dental surgeon with over 25 years of experience in the surgical extraction of wisdom teeth. He founded the first free dental clinic Lema’an Achai 20 years ago, as dentistry is relatively expensive in Israel. Along with over 15 other dentists from all dental specialties including oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, root canals, they make a great team. While the main goal is to relieve people of pain, healthy dental hygiene also helps people to have confidence in themselves, so that they can smile. Dr. Katz reported that patients did better in school, finding a job, and even finding a spouse.

Administrative Director of Dental Clinics

Benjamin Cohen, DDS

For over ten years, I have had the privilege of running social dental centers in Israel.
This project is part of our wish to respond to specific for dental care needs that are not covered by the healthcare funds (Kupat Holim).
Our patients are people who are working but whose salary does not allow them to have access to dental care, people in need referred to us by the social services of local authorities, and young people in distress due family hardship…
It’s a great source of satisfaction for me and the medical teams to see these people arrive at our centers in pain and leave with smiles on their faces.
ISRAEL is our only homeland, and our brothers and sisters, who have often paid a heavy price to make it exist, are counting on your solidarity.
I would like to thank you in advance for your contribution, which is essential for the running of these centers.

After an intensive career at teaching hospitals and in private practice in Strasbourg, I made aliyah four years ago. I had no problem obtaining certification equivalence. I wanted to share my experience with people in need and was lucky enough to meet the founders of the dental clinics, Bernard BENMOUSSA and Dr. Shmuel Katz. I visited some of the clinics and was able to see that the facilities were decent and that it was possible to provide dental care in satisfactory conditions. These practices, which provide care completely free of charge, incur considerable operating costs. The gratitude of patients, as shown by their testimonials, is extremely moving. Practicing our profession without expecting anything in return is a wonderful experience! We really need your help to give our brothers and sisters the best possible care!

For 38 years, I was a general practitioner in private practice in the Paris region. I made my aliyah in 2016 and was given the opportunity to join the team at the Social Dental Clinic in ELAD. Given the importance of the activities performed by this type of clinics, I decided over the years to become more involved and to increase the number of my shifts. This experience is emotionally moving, because it gives suffering people, who are very often in need, access to dental care that allows them to return to a decent social life.

For almost ten years now, I have had the privilege of working for this dental care charitable organization. The emotion you feel every time you relieve pain or restore a smile is difficult to express in just a few lines. The gratitude of our patients is overwhelming. It fills us with joy and encourages us to continue working to alleviate the financial costs for these needy people and their families. May we have the privilege, with your support, of maintaining this initiative in the long term and develop new centers in other towns across ISRAEL.

And Rabbi Elazar said: Whoever does charity and justice is as if he fills the whole world with goodness, as it is said: "He who loves charity and justice, the goodness of Hashem fills the earth." (Ps 33.5) Talmud Bavli Succah 49b. At the instigation of my friend, Professor René Serfaty, I can make this Talmudic teaching my own by giving a little of my time and my knowledge to those who benefit from the immense social work created by Mr. Bernard Benmoussa.
